"The Code" in question is not some esoteric archaeological relic, but The Code for the Protection of Children from Sexual Exploitation in Travel and Tourism. This may not always be relevant, but it's especially important if you're traveling to a place where child sex exploitation is rampant to ensure that you're not indirectly supporting the practice. Even though The Code... doesn't appear to have an enforcement mechanism, putting pressure on companies to sign up to it promotes awareness of consumer concerns. You can find more details about this UNICEF-funded initiative at www.thecode.org.
